Privacy & Security
How does Momentum keep my data safe? Your privacy is our baseline. Momentum uses industry-standard encryption to protect your personal information. We never sell your data to third parties. Your academic, financial, and health data is used strictly to power the AI insights that help you succeed.
Can my professors or university see my Momentum dashboard? No. Your Momentum account is your private central hub. While we sync with university resources like Canvas or campus calendars, your personal study plans, budget, and mental health tracking are for your eyes only.
Academic Syncing
How does the Canvas integration work? Once you authorize Momentum to connect to your learning management system (like Canvas or Blackboard), our AI securely “reads” your syllabi, assignment due dates, and grade weights. It then automatically populates your calendar and suggests a study plan based on the complexity of each task.
What if my professor changes a deadline? Momentum syncs in real-time. If a deadline is pushed back or a new assignment is posted, your AI coach will automatically adjust your “bite-sized” tasks and update your workload spike predictions.
Health & Wellness
How does the app know if I’m burnt out? Momentum looks for patterns that humans often miss—like a string of 3:00 AM study sessions followed by missed morning deadlines or a decrease in physical activity. When these “unhealthy study cycles” appear, the AI proactively suggests a “Rest Day” or points you toward campus counseling resources.
Do I need a wearable device (like an Apple Watch or Oura Ring) to track health? While Momentum works best when synced with wearable data for sleep and activity, it’s not required. You can manually log your energy levels, or the AI can infer your habits based on your app usage and assignment completion times.
Money & Careers
Is my bank information secure? Yes. We use read-only integration via secure financial aggregators (like Plaid). This means Momentum can see your transactions to help you budget, but it can never move your money or access your full account credentials.
How does the AI know which internships to suggest? We scan your “Skill Vault”—which is automatically updated as you complete coursework and projects—and match those skills against live job market trends. If a top tech firm is looking for Python skills and you just aced your Computer Science final, Momentum will put that internship at the top of your list.
